Be Cautious when u meet men of any age

The first time i tried to stuff our ten year old son into his football uniform, I knew my mother was right  The monthly menses was not the female curse. It was football.  In the august heat, i watched our half back, with his padded gorrilla shoulders, martian type headgear, and his popsile type legs, plod his way on to the playing field.  Amid deep knee bends, pushups, runnning, and tackling, he and the other boys dreamt of a victorious future, while I worried about his expanding neck muscles, and boys dropping  over from heat prostration, and mostly football injuries.

My fretting was futile.  Spun around just once, our son would forget which end zone was his, and when the season began, the knowing coach, kept him, like a spare tire, kept him on the bench.

Finally, the last game , our team losing 38 to nothing took the risk and put him into the game.  My poor husband was elated, he had waited so long for that moment.  Somehow our son managed to get hold of the football, and even score a touchdown. Unfortunately it was for the other team.  Afterwards my husband sat in the bleachers for hours, in a state of shock, wondering what he had did to deserve that much pain..
